Cheryl has over 35 years’ experience in the construction industry, both within quantity surveying and business development roles, predominantly within the building sector. She has worked on most forms of contracts including JCT and NEC. Cheryl has worked extensively across all sectors of the industry from client and consultant to main contractor and subcontractor. She completely understands the processes necessary for all disciplines and what is needed to achieve commercial success in a project.

Her communication skills along with her thorough contract knowledge allows her to look at all perspectives of the procedures. She has developed an enviable network over her years in the construction industry and is an intrinsic member of the team. Cheryl’s passion for the collaboration of the whole industry will always drive her to do what is right for her clients.

Infrastructure project – 2m
Working as project manager under NEC3 delivering a S278 roundabout and services creating a new access for a new housing development in Hythe, Kent. Delivered in three phases, obtaining Homes England funding.

Large-scale London projects
Commercial Manager for Tier 2 fit out contractor on projects throughout London – Bloomberg, Nova Victoria, Chelsea Barracks, One Crowne Place, and Battersea Power Station. Both hands-on estimating and surveying on large-scale projects along with restructuring of the commercial team, working on cashflow and review of surveying procedures.

Residential and commercial developments
Commercial lead on local projects in Kent; housing association schemes, developer led housing, residential and commercial developments. From estimating through to final account through all trades.

Residential sites
Working with a large Tier 1 regional contractor on their business development and entering the housing market. Creating and working on land-led residential sites across the South of England.

Schools, housing, community and retail
Quantity surveyor involved in all construction projects, both traditional anddesign & build; schools, housing, community and retail schemes. Working onlarge retail supermarkets for Safeways and Tescos. Moving into business development.

Houses of Parliament data and video network scheme and Wentworth Golf Health and Fitness Club - 10m
Working with PQS on projects from bill preparation through to final account .Projects include Houses of Parliament data and video network scheme throughout the Palace of Westminster during the summer recess and Wentworth Golf Club’s Health and Fitness Club, with swimming pool and leisure suite – value 10m.

Retail, commercial and industrial projects
Lead surveyor on B&Q, Houses of Parliament, Tower of London and works within the Port of Dover.

Dover Docks projects
Assistant surveyor on sea defences, maintenance frameworks and the pedestrianisation of Dover High Street.
